It is Resolution time- Everyone makes them but only a few keep them. In order to keep yourself on track and achieve your goal follow these simple steps this year
Choose one thing
One of the problem why so many people fail to achieve their goals is that they pick up too many things in one go- I want to make more money, I will quit smoking, I want to get in shape and the list goes on.
Pick one thing, that is the first step, let’s face it change is tough if it wasn’t we already would have changed those things by now.
How important it is to you
On a scale of one to ten how badly do you want it. If it is not a solid 10 you are not going to stick to it. Weigh your options and choose something that you really want to do. The other thing is that if it is for someone else other than you then it is not going to happen. It should come from inside.
Visualization is a powerful tool and it can do wonders for you– see yourself 10 kg lighter, see yourself making more money, see yourself quit drinking. Whatever you plan to do visualize it.
Make an Action Plan
After you are done visualizing make an action plan on how you are planning to do those things and right it down and keep it as a reference. Whatever you have planned share it with your friends and family because that brings in the aspect of accountability and you are more likely to achieve your goal.
Execute and keep going
Get it done, don’t stop until you reach your destination and even if you get off track just get back right on it and don’t give up. Keep visualizing and strive towards your goal with full force.
New year Resolution is like a road trip, you need to pick where you are going, visualize the destination by having the map, make an action plan by choosing the route you would take and finally you execute it by getting into the car and driving. There will be ups and downs but at the end if you follow the plan you will be able to reach your destination.
