10 Adorable Things Only Indian Mothers Can Do/Say

Mother’s love is unconditional for her children. She binds the whole family into a home. When it comes to Hindustani “Maa ki Mamta”, this love is so precious and unconditional. A mother is a pillar of the home. Her heart is filled with emotions ranging from joy, fun, sadness or anger, she is a storehouse of priceless love. She may reprimand her child, but she will always come and solve the matter. Some things she does may annoy you but at the end, it is for your own well-being. She is your savior and she will love you wholeheartedly till her last breathe.

So here is Tribute to all Indian mothers, who once in a lifetime may have uttered these phrases:

  • “Mere bache ne khana khaya?” The mother is always the one who can never see you hungry. No matter what, you will always have your appetites fulfilled with the love of her hands. Even if you are living far, she will ask you three times, if you have had your lunch/dinner.

  • No other person can care for you more than your mother. You won’t be able to go out in winters without wearing at least two sweaters. And even if you get ill, her bag is always full with “Dadi maa ke nushkhe.” Which works better than any of the medicine. So your mother is your best doctor.

  • Not able to find something? Cursing your anger out? Don’t worry, your mum always remembers where you keep your things, from a small pin to your long list of school needs, she is a mind reader(Unless you hid it somewhere).

  • The mother is the first person who can guide you, build confidence in you and bring the best out of you. Even though she will say it sarcastically, “tera kuch nae ho sakta”, she will never mean it.  That is only a tactic she uses to motivate you.

  • “Itne kam number, sharma ji ke bete ke hamesha tujse jyada aate hai, kuch to sharam ka.” At some point in your life, you must have faced this situation. She can compare you to anything with anybody. Her jibes won’t stop even after securing fewer marks, but as a mother, she will always be the shield against your dad.

  • She is a total “Drama Queen.” When things don’t work out according to her, you can see the cute irritation on her face and still she manages to set everything right. And what irritates her the most is your damn phone. She can lit the house with her humor and spread beautiful colors in the lives of other family members.

  • “Kabhi bhi phone mat uthaya kar tu Apni Maa ka.” We have always heard this phrase when we are not able to pick up the phone.  24×7 she says, I will burn your phone if you keep using it for the whole day. And if you are reading a  joke on your phone, she will give you looks and says, “Haan, bas lage raha kar apne boyfriend/girlfriend sath.”
